Cole Crawford Awarded Presidential Mentoring Scholarship

OMAHA, NE (02/28/2014)(readMedia)-- Cole Crawford, a College of Arts and Sciences junior from Dubuque, earned the top award of $2500 for a Presidential Mentoring Scholarship at Creighton University.

Crawford is a member of Creighton's Honors Program, a double major in English and Computing Science and Informatics, and is very involved in the Digital Humanities. Working alongside the dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, Bridget Keegan, and a consortium of several British universities, he plans to continue an online project featuring Laboring-Class Poets as well as expand an individual digital humanities project on the Scottish poet Robert Tannahill.

The Presidential Mentoring Scholarships were initiated by the president's office at Creighton University seven years ago to encourage and develop the very best students to be competitive in applying for nation and international scholarships and fellowships.
