Colonial Theatre Welcomes Karen Allen and Alan Chartock for a Live Conversation
ALBANY, NY (07/14/2008)(readMedia)-- The Colonial graciously hosted Karen Allen, star of stage and screen, and longtime WAMC supporter and Berkshire resident in a live conversation with Alan Chartock and guests on Sunday, July 13th. The Colonial generously donated the use of the theatre space for the event.
Alan Chartock, WAMC Northeast Public Radio's President made brief remarks after being introduced by David Fleming, the Colonial's Executive Director. "I think the best thing about these events is getting out into the community to meet the people who keep us going."
The audience members posed their own questions to Karen and Alan through the course of the afternoon and learned all about Karen's experiences as an actor, knitter, and longtime Berkshire resident. Many audience members were interested in learning about Karen's most recent acting project: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull which was released in theatres in May 2008. WAMC Members pledged for tickets to the afternoon's conversation during WAMC's recent June fund drive, which raised a record $800,814 to support station operations.
