Common Cause/NY Applauds Underwood Appointment
NEW YORK, NY (05/22/2018) (readMedia)-- Today, the Legislature voted to appoint Barbara Underwood as interim Attorney General.
In response, Susan Lerner, Executive Director of Common Cause/NY, issued the following statement:
"Common Cause/NY is glad to see that the Legislature named an interim Attorney General who has announced that she will not seek election in the Fall after an open interview process. This interim appointment allows voters to choose the next full-term Attorney General from a competitive field of candidates."
