Common Cause/NY and Partners to Host Civic Engagement Workshop at Greenlight Bookstore

NEW YORK, NY (09/20/2017) (readMedia)-- On Monday September 25th, Common Cause/NY, in partnership with Brooklyn Voters Alliance and 2 Hours a Week, will host a free public workshop on voter engagement and election fairness at Greenlight bookstore in Flatbush, Brooklyn.

Voter turn-out on Election Day last Tuesday, September 12th in New York City was just under 15%. This event will educate and engage voters new and old about New York's election laws, political landscape, and ways to get involved.

Common Cause/NY is the statewide New York chapter of Common Cause dedicated to restoring the core values of American democracy, reinventing an open, honest, and accountable government that empowers ordinary people to make their voices heard.
