BRONX, NY (06/05/2026) (readMedia)-- On Saturday, at Concrete Plant Park, the Bronx River Alliance will host a free community paddle - the first of its weekly paddles running all through the summer - where New Yorkers can hit the water for free and experience the Bronx River firsthand.
The event is first-come, first-served, no pre-registration is required. "Waves" of paddlers will enjoy the river for about 30–40 minutes each, following a brief paddling safety orientation and waiver signing. Four waves will depart on the hour (11am, 12pm, 1pm, and 2pm), with a maximum of approximately 15 participants per wave. Staff and volunteers will be on the water to ensure safety. Minors are welcome and must be accompanied by an adult guardian, who will need to sign a waiver on their behalf.
