GLOVERSVILLE, NY (04/13/2009)(readMedia)-- Hospitals are not traditionally thought of as a green neighbor. Nathan Littauer Hospital and Nursing Home would like to change that. Housed within a 40 year-old building, the hospital has been instituting eco-friendly practices for many years. Congressman Paul Tonko will be on hand and will speak as Nathan Littauer Hospital announces their green practices, and their hospital-wide efforts to reduce their carbon footprint. In preparation for Earth Day, the hospital has compiled some of their earth friendly practices and will release components of a year-long program to improve their green efforts at the hospital.
A presentation, given by hospital officials, followed by comments by Congressman Tonko will be provided to board members and the media Wednesday April 15, 2009 at 10:45. All media is welcome. Questions will be welcomed.
