Connor Bradley Receives Convocation Award at Hampden-Sydney College

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA (09/13/2013)(readMedia)-- At Opening Convocation on Tuesday, September 10, Connor David Bradley, a junior at Hampden-Sydney College, received the First Honor Samuel S. Jones Phi Beta Kappa Award with a grade point average of 3.9746. The Samuel S. Jones Phi Beta Kappa Award recognizes juniors for their intellectual achievement and good citizenship.

Connor, a Patrick Henry Scholar, is a pitcher on the varsity baseball team and was named Academic All-ODAC for the last three years. He is a member of the Tiger Athletic Club. An economics and business major, he is a graduate of Trinity Episcopal School and is the son of Mr. & Mrs. David L. Bradley of Midlothian.

A private college for men, Hampden-Sydney is ranked in the top 100 nationally among liberal arts colleges by U.S. News & World Report. The College is known for its liberal arts curriculum, the Honor Code which stresses individual and collective responsibility, and a focus on the education of young men.
