Connor West Named to Hardin-Simmons University's Homecoming Court

ABILENE, TX (10/11/2013)(readMedia)-- Connor West of Arlington, Texas, was named to Homecoming Court for Hardin-Simmons University's 2013-2014 Homecoming festivities.

The announcement of HSU's Homecoming Court came October 11 in a ceremony at Behrens Auditorium. The ceremony was one of 70 Homecoming events October 10 – 13, 2013.

Connor West is the son of Dan and Karen West. He is majoring in speech communications with a sociology minor. Over his HSU career, Connor has been a part of Greek Council, president of Sigma Delta Sigma social club, a member of SABERS, and a mentor for the Get Plugged-In Program. He also played Division III tennis with the Cowboys for two years. An honor roll student, Connor has experience in retail and was chosen for a human resources internship next spring. He is a member of South Side Baptist Church.

Ten graduate degrees, encompassing 26 programs, include the Doctor of Ministry, Doctor of Education in Leadership, and the Doctor of Physical Therapy.

Hardin-Simmons University, founded in 1891, is a private Christian liberal arts university, and has been affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas (Texas Baptists) since 1941.
