Cora Renfro, retired art teacher, to speak at Campbellsville University's chapel

CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY (02/25/2019) (readMedia)-- Cora Cowherd Renfro, adjunct art instructor at Campbellsville University and former art teacher at Taylor County High School, will speak at Campbellsville University's chapel on Wednesday, March 13 at 10 a.m. in Ransdell Chapel, 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville, Ky.

Renfro, who specializes in Christian art paintings, gives presentations and art exhibits for churches and women's organizations. Her presentations discuss how she paints and how the Bible and God's messages to her influence her art.

She has taught art for over a combined 30 years at Taylor County and Russell County high schools and Campbellsville University.

Renfro graduated from Taylor County High School in 1966 and graduated from then Campbellsville College in 1969 with a Bachelor's Degree with an Art Area in Education and with an undergraduate and Master of Arts Rank I from Western Kentucky University in 1976 and 1979, respectively.

Renfro is a member of the Patrons of the Visual Arts, a group who supports art at Campbellsville University. She also has art work for sale at the Chowning Art Shop on Campbellsville University's campus.

She is married to James Renfro, and they have two children, Jaime Le Renfro and Dwight Renfro. Her parents are Charles and Audrey Cowherd of Campbellsville.

Chapel is designed to provide opportunities for corporate worship and exposure through a variety of informative speakers and presentations.

All chapels are open to the public free of charge and are televised live on WLCU (Comcast Cable channel 10 and digital channel 23.0) and are streamed live on the internet at wlcutv.com.
