"Unless Death Occurs: Hazing Examined." 8 p.m. Yokum Hall. The screening of the PBS documentary about the 2003 death of SUNY Plattsburgh student Walter Dean Jennings. Part of SUNY Plattsburgh's National Anti-Hazing Week efforts.

Candlelight Vigil for Victims of Violence. 9 p.m. Amitié Plaza, Angell College Center. Campus and community members are welcome to attend this remembrance of the victims of violence, including hazing and other crimes. Part of SUNY Plattsburgh's National Anti-Hazing Week efforts.

Plattsburgh Best Dance Crew. 7 p.m. E. Glenn Glitz Auditorium, Hawkins Hall.

"Broken Promises: Hazing Exposed." 8 p.m. Flynt Commons, Angell College Center. Former Cornell University athlete and fraternity member Brian Strahine will talk about his experiences battling hazing as a collegiate leader. Part of SUNY Plattsburgh's National Anti-Hazing Week efforts.

Thursday, Sept. 24

"Tunnel of Oppression." Noon-2 p.m. Meeting rooms, Angell College Center. Students, faculty and staff can stop by any time during this time period to experience some of the many forms of oppression that exist in our world. The entire experience takes about 20 minutes. Part of SUNY Plattsburgh's National Anti-Hazing Week efforts.

6th Annual Peace and Social Justice Conference: "Imagine: Instruments of Peace: Race, Gender and Demilitarization." 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Alumni Conference Room, Angell College Center. Dr. Leo R. Sandy, professor of counselor education and school psychology at Plymouth State University in New Hampshire, will give the keynote address.

Friday, Sept. 25

Quarter Mile Coin Drive for Hazingprevention.org. 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Amitié Plaza, Angell College Center. SUNY Plattsburgh's fraternities, sororities, clubs, organizations and athletic teams will compete to raise money to help prevent hazing. Part of SUNY Plattsburgh's National Anti-Hazing Week efforts.

"Pray the Devil Back to Hell." 6:30 p.m. Krinovitz Recital Hall, Hawkins Hall. Documentary about a group of women who rise up to peace in Liberia and help bring to power the country's first female head of state. Part of the Gender and Women's Studies Forum Film Series.

Graduate and Professional School Fair. 11 a.m. Flynt Commons, Angell College Center. More than 30 graduate schools will offer information on graduate programs in business and marketing, communications, computer science, education, engineering, journalism, law, medicine, social work and more. Attendees will be eligible to win prizes, including MP3 players, flash drives and SUNY Plattsburgh graduate application fee waivers.

Motivational Speaker Karen Gaffney. 6 p.m. E. Glenn Glitz Auditorium, Hawkins Hall. Gaffney, president of the non-profit Karen Gaffney Foundation, will speak on her life with Down syndrome and about overcoming adversity. Among her accomplishments are graduating from college, completing a nine-mile swim across Lake Tahoe to raise money for the National Down Syndrome Congress, and being a member of a team that swum the English Channel. Free and open to the public.

"Passion, Persistence, Professionalism and Power Equals Success." 7 p.m. Alumni Room, Angell College Center. Sheila Cluff, owner/founder of The Oaks at Ojai Spa, known as the "grandmother of aerobics," will share her experiences. Free and open to the public.

Operation Inform. 8 a.m.-1:15 p.m. Angell College Center. SUNY Plattsburgh is one of seven SUNY campuses hosting one of these professional development workshops for area school counselors. The program features workshops and conversations with representatives from SUNY Central and more than 25 SUNY campuses. The program will provide a look at the SUNY campus sectors, at what makes for a good application to SUNY and on financing education in challenging times.
