Courtney Burton Participates with Washington College's Habitat for Humanity

CHESTERTOWN, MD (04/12/2012)(readMedia)-- Washington College is pleased to announce that Courtney Burton '15, daughter of Alan and Sarah Burton, Salisbury, MD, participated with Habitat for Humanity during her spring break. She traveled to Columbus, GA, as part of Habitat for Humanity's Collegiate Challenge Program in a partnership with NeighborWorks Columbus. This was the College program's 13th alternative Spring Break trip, and 31 students, three staff members, and one faculty member made the journey, as the largest Collegiate Challenge team fielded by Washington College yet.
Burton is majoring in Psychology with a concentration in Behavioral Neuroscience. She is involved with Habitat for Humanity and the Concert Band. She is also a course mentor and a peer tutor. Burton graduated from Wicomico High School.
Founded in 1782 under the patronage of George Washington, Washington College is a private, independent college of liberal arts and sciences located in colonial Chestertown on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
