Coxes Creek Road in Jefferson and Lincoln Township,Somerset County to Close March 7
NEW STANTON, PA (03/01/2011)(readMedia)-- On Monday morning, March 7, the stretch of Coxes Creek Road (SR 4005) that crosses over the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Jefferson and Lincoln Township, Somerset County will close to traffic to allow for replacement of the Turnpike overpass bridge located at milepost 104.9 on the Turnpike. This section of Coxes Creek Road will remain closed until late fall of this year.
The contractor, Mosites Construction Company, Pittsburgh, Pa. will be removing the existing bridge and replacing it with a new concrete bridge. Due to the closure a detour will be in effect for the length of the project.
The posted detour around the construction site will be as follows; Windy Run Road to Tulip Lane to Jefferson Road to West Bakersville Edie Road back on Coxes Creek Road. The length of the detour is approximately six miles.
