Soprano Samantha Stinson will present a guest artist recital at SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music on Thursday, Oct. 15.

POTSDAM, NY (10/08/2015)(readMedia)-- SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music invites the public to enjoy a guest artist performance by Samantha Stinson, soprano, on Thursday, Oct. 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the Sara M. Snell Music Theater.

Stinson will present a vocal chamber recital, in collaboration with members of the Crane wind and piano faculty, including: Jill Rubio, flute; Julianne Kirk Doyle, clarinet; Anna Hendrickson, oboe; Jo Ann Simpson, bassoon, and Kathryn Sherman, piano. The recital will feature works by Handel, Schubert, Chabrier and Corigliano.

This event is free, and the public is invited to attend.

About the performer:

Samantha Stinson, soprano, is a dynamic crossover artist and educator. She regularly performs in operas, musicals, recitals and concerts throughout the U.S. Most recently, she was a Vocal Fellow with Stephanie Blythe's Fall Island Vocal Arts Seminar and performed as a soloist with both the Orchestra of Northern New York and the Potsdam Community Chorus. Stinson is a Doctor of Musical Arts candidate in voice performance at the University of Cincinnati College - Conservatory of Music.
