MILLERSVILLE, PA (05/16/2011)(readMedia)-- Crystal Hoyle, of Red Lion, Pa., has been selected to receive the Fred E. Oppenheimer Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to an incoming freshman at Millersville University of Pennsylvania.
Hoyle will attend Millersville this fall and will major in Spanish education. She completed a college preparatory program including several courses at the Advanced Placement level, studying Spanish through level four, while enrolled at Dallastown High School. Hoyle was also in the Future Educators Association, member of the Volunteer Club and Elementary Foreign Language Program.
The Fred E. Oppenheimer Scholarship is awarded to an incoming freshman majoring in foreign language based on academic excellence, dedication to foreign language study and financial need. It is a non-renewable award, in the amount of $337 to be credited on the spring 2012 bill.
