HAMDEN, CT (06/07/2011)(readMedia)-- Cynthia Vroom, of Chappaqua, N.Y., has been appointed associate vice president for recruitment at Quinnipiac University.
In her new position, Vroom will be responsible for all hiring across the university. "My aim is to support the good work that has been done, ensure that Quinnipiac has visibility in diverse forums and is thought of as an employer of choice, so we can engage proactively with different candidate communities and our hiring managers," Vroom said. "It's an opportunity to add value to the university as a whole."
Vroom comes to Quinnipiac with experience in both the corporate and not-for-profit worlds. Most recently, she was president and chief talent consultant at Cyntal International of New York, N.Y., an executive recruitment and talent acquisition advisory firm.
Vroom holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the State University of New York at Albany.
