DMV Erie Boulevard West Office Closed Effective April 25

New office to open on April 28, usually closed office open to serve customers Friday

ALBANY, NY (04/23/2008)(readMedia)-- Commissioner David J. Swarts of the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles today announced that in order to better serve Syracuse area customers, the DMV is moving its downtown office at 620 Erie Boulevard West to a location at Western Lights Plaza, at 4671 Onondaga Road.

Because of the move, on Friday, April 25 the Erie Boulevard West office will be closed and the new office on Onondaga Road will open at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, April 28. To accommodate motorists who need to utilize DMV services on Friday, April 25 the North Syracuse office at 5801 East Taft Road will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. This location is normally closed on Fridays.

The new office at Western Lights Plaza will provide the same vehicle registration and driver licensing services as the Erie Boulevard West location. The office has a new configuration that will better serve the public, has free parking for customers and is more convenient to local bus routes. Office hours will be Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
