Daktronics-NAIA Cross Country Scholar Athletes

Six of Kansas Wesleyan University's cross country student-athletes have been named Daktronics-NAIA scholar athletes. Men's cross country had four earn the honor: Sebastian Ramirez, Diego Sanchez, Trail Spears and Garrett Young. For women's cross country, Asiria Ramirez and Chelsea Kostyak earned the honor. In order to be named as a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete, recipients must have a 3.5 cumulative GPA heading into the semester in which they played, be of at least junior academic status and have been on campus for at least one full academic year as a transfer or two years as a non-transfer.

Kansas Wesleyan cross country also experienced success away from the classroom. The women finished third in the KCAC. Men's cross country finished second in the KCAC and earned a spot in the NAIA Cross Country National Championships.
