Dan Childers wins student award from Temple University's School of Tourism and Hospitality Management
PHILADELPHIA, PA (04/27/2011)(readMedia)-- Dan Childers of Aston, Pa., has been named the recipient of this year's Delores W. DeShields Endowed Scholarship from the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management (STHM) at Temple University.
Childers, a junior tourism and hospitality major, will accept the award at the 2011 STHM Awards Dinner on April 29 at the Hyatt Regency at Penn's Landing in Philadelphia.
The award is presented to juniors or seniors enrolled in STHM who best exemplify the spirit and passion for travel and tourism that Delores DeShields displayed. The recipient displays a determination to achieve academic success, to have dreams and to never give up through challenges and disappointments.
