LA MIRADA, CA (02/12/2014)(readMedia)-- DANA POINT, Calif. --- Head Coach Jonathan Zimmerman added a dual-threat when he got a commitment from Timmy Wilson of Dana Hills High School.

Wilson will join the cross country and track and field programs at Biola University in fall 2014. He will study psychology, and train under the tutelage of Zimmerman over the course of the next four years, joining a top-25 program in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.

"Timmy is a great gentleman and a super competitor," said Zimmerman. "He is a good fit for Biola and will be well-served here. It is great to get an Orange County kid who has run the gauntlet of the OC championships."

Wilson joins the Eagles after spending his high school career training under a Biola alum, Tim Butler. Butler graduated from the university in 1972 and is recognized as a legendary high school coach.

During his time under Butler, Wilson has proven that he is destined to be just as good. He led his team to a first place league finish, second place Orange County Championships finish and a third place showing at the CIF finals and state meet.

Wilson will immediately join the Eagles' cross country squad next fall, and will run for Zimmerman's track contingent in the spring.
