SPRINGFIELD, MA (04/20/2011)(readMedia)-- Dana Prazynski of Fairfield, OH, 45014, received the 2011 Springfield College Lawrence Handy Prize, at the college's 85th Stepping Up Day ceremonies, at the Richard B. Flynn Campus Union Patio, on April 14, 2011, on the college campus. Prazynski, a fourth-year student whose major field of study is recreation management, received the presentation from Harry Rock, Springfield College director of YMCA Relations.
The Lawrence Handy Prize is given to a Springfield College student who demonstrates outstanding leadership to the Springfield College YMCA Club. Club members apply their classroom learning to create internships and also activities for professional and leadership development, networking, adventure and travel for students interested in YMCA and other careers.
