Danna Mazzola Honored at Western New England College

SPRINGFIELD, MA (05/11/2011)(readMedia)-- Danna Mazzola of Oakville, CT, has received the Richard M. DiRuzza Student Life Award at Western New England College. Mazzola is a sophomore majoring in communication. Western New England honored the winners of the 2011 Cocurricular Awards at a ceremony on April 30. The Richard M. DiRuzza Student Life Award is given in recognition of volunteer service to the College and to a student who has had a direct impact on improving the quality of student life.

The award is named in honor of retired Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students Richard M. DiRuzza, who devoted 18 years of service to Western New England College. The naming recognizes DiRuzza's support of underclassmen by helping them to become more engaged and involved in the College.
