NEW LONDON, CT (05/04/2010)(readMedia)-- David Collerd, a junior at Connecticut College, has been elected vice president of finance of the Student Government Association (SGA) for the 2010-2011 academic year.
Collerd, a 2007 graduate of The Bolles School, is the son of Joseph and Therese Collerd of Jacksonville.
The SGA considers issues and formulates policies in areas primarily or exclusively involving the student body at Connecticut College and seeks to extend channels of communication, increase areas of cooperation and foster a greater acceptance of shared responsibility between faculty, administration and students.
Among the most selective private liberal arts colleges in the nation, Connecticut College enrolls 1,900 men and women from 41 states, the District of Columbia and 71 countries.
