KING OF PRUSSIA, PA (10/31/2011)(readMedia)-- In 2000, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission finalized a study to determine the best method for rehabilitating and widening the Lehigh River and Pohopoco Bridges and concluded that both bridges should be replaced. Traffic on the new bridges southbound was switched in the early morning hours on August 9, 2011. Northbound bridges will be opened to traffic after the ceremony.
