SUMMERDALE, PA (03/21/2013)(readMedia)-- Devon Dorsey of Wilmington, Del., a Central Penn College criminal justice student, was named a men's United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Division II All-American.
This is Dorsey's second year playing with the Central Penn Knights. On average, Dorsey scored 22 points and collected 12 rebounds per game, causing him to be the lead scorer for the team and second in the USCAA DII men's basketball division. Dorsey has had 18 double doubles this season and eclipsed 1,000 points.
Players are nominated by coaches and selected by the USCAA. All-Americans are chosen due to their statistics and leadership throughout the season.
"Dorsey is a dominant force on the court; he gives one hundred percent during games and in practice," says Athletic Director Ed Liesch. "He's definitely a nice guy off the court, as well. Dorsey is a multifaceted player; he also had the honor of being a USCAA Player of the Week last season."
