SPRINGFIELD, MA (06/20/2011)(readMedia)-- Donna C. Haskell of East Longmeadow received the Honor Graduate in Psychology Award, the Maria Leonard Book Award, and the Dean's Award for Academic Excellence during Baccalaureate ceremonies at Western New England College. At Commencement, Haskell also received the Alumni Award, presented to the top student in the graduating class.
Haskell graduated summa cum laude as a member of the Honors Program with a Bachelor of Science. In addition to being named to Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, Haskell is a member of the Psi Chi, Mortar Board, and Alpha Lambda Delta honor societies. Her honors thesis, involving a methodological analysis yielding practical and objective measures of nighttime behavior and sleep in children's homes, will soon be published. School of Arts and Sciences Dean Saeed Ghahramani praised Haskell as being "one of the most brilliant students Arts and Sciences has had over the years."
