Doylestown's Dominic A. Marasco Awarded Young Alumnus Award by University of the Sciences

PHILADELPHIA, PA (10/14/2011)(readMedia)-- Dominic A. Marasco has been presented with the Young Alumnus Award at University of the Sciences' annual alumni reunion on Sept. 24, 2011. The award is bestowed annually to a person who is less than 40 years old and distinguished by having contributed in an outstanding fashion to the profession, to science, and/or to mankind in the last 15 years.

Marasco, who serves on the University's board of trustees, is currently the senior director of U.S. Sales for the biopharmaceutical division at Sandoz Inc., a Novartis Company. For over 15 years, Marasco has gained experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. He held leadership positions in business development, sales, commercial financial resourcing, and commercial and clinical field force operations/oversight.

A 1996 graduate of USciences with a degree in pharmacy, Marasco was the founder and CEO of Pharmaceutical Health Management Company, Inc., a time management, data warehousing, and clinical education company. He has also worked as a retail pharmaceutical sales professional for Eli Lilly and Company and is a registered pharmacist within the Commonwealth of PA.

Marasco is an active member with a number of not for profit interests. He has been the recipient of various awards including PharmaVOICE's "100 of the Most Inspiring People in the Life Sciences Industry" in 2009.

Marasco resides with his wife Anne Marie (also a USciences pharmacy graduate) and two daughters in Doylestown, PA.
