PHILADELPHIA, PA (10/13/2011)(readMedia)-- Dr. Laura A. Mandos has been named associate dean for student affairs and admissions at University of the Sciences' Philadelphia College of Pharmacy (PCP). In addition she was named director of the BS pharmaceutical and healthcare studies program.
In her new position, Dr. Mandos will be responsible for overseeing PCP's student government, student communications, at-risk interventions, student scholarships, internship opportunities, records and transcript review, and admissions. Prior to this appointment Dr. Mandos served as assistant dean of pharmacy programs.
Dr. Mandos brings 25 years of experience as an educator, practitioner, and researcher to her new position. She will continue to function as the PCP liaison to the University, Student Early Intervention Response Team (SEIRT), and as chair of the PharmD Program Executive Committee (PPEC) and the PharmD Working Group.
In addition to her many roles at the University, she will also remain associate professor of clinical pharmacy and clinical associate professor of psychiatry at University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
Dr. Mandos received her BS in pharmacy from Ohio Northern University and her PhD at Northeastern University. She currently resides in Wilmington, DE.
