Duarte Named to All-Region Team

GEORGETOWN, TX (11/27/2012)(readMedia)-- The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) recognized nearly 560 athletes that earned All-Region awards for cross country in Division III following this weekend's NCAA Regional Championships. Athletes of member schools that finished in the top 35 individually at one of the eight regional sites earned the honor including Southwestern junior Lilly Duarte.

Duarte, a junior from Streetman, TX, led the Pirates at the South/Southeast Regional in Atlanta, Ga. on Saturday. Her time of 23:25.19 put her in 14th place overall and 15 seconds out of the top 10.
