Effective Association Practices Opens Association Leadership Academy

ALBANY, NY (09/07/2007)(readMedia)-- LATHAM N.Y. - “Effective Association Management Practices” will be the opening session of the 2007-2008 Association Leadership Academy (ALA) initiated by the Empire State Society of Association Executives (ESSAE).

Patricia Hudson, president, of the Center for Excellence in Association Leadership based in California, will conduct the session, which runs from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Friday, September 14, 2007 at the New York State School Boards Association in Latham, N.Y.

The Academy, now in its third year, comprises eight courses scheduled through May 2008 that will offer discussions on real-world issues, best practices and innovative solutions featuring leading members of the association and academic communities as faculty. Session topics include: Communications and Marketing; Advocacy, Politics and Grass Roots Campaigns; and the Development of a Leadership Style.
