NEW YORK, NY (10/13/2026) (readMedia)-- With just days until the start of early voting, election experts and voting rights advocates will hold a virtual press briefing to explain how New York's elections work, debunk misinformation about the voting process, and outline the steps organizations are taking across the state to ensure every voter can cast their ballot without issue.
The briefing comes as some politicians continue to push misinformation intended to scare and confuse voters about how and if they can vote. Despite misinformation about the voting process, nothing has changed. New Yorkers still have three ways to vote: by mail, in person during early voting, or on Election Day. Early voting runs from Saturday, October 24 through Sunday, November 1. Election Day is Tuesday, November 3.
Experts will also discuss the return of the nonpartisan Election Protection program, which will deploy hundreds of volunteers across the state to observe the voting process and assist voters in multiple languages with any questions or concerns they may have.
Press must RSVP at the registration link here to attend.
