Elizabeth Amrhrein senior recital at Gettysburg College

GETTYSBURG, PA (04/06/2012)(readMedia)--  Elizabeth Amrhrein, a Senior at Gettysburg College presented a senior recital on March 23 in Gettysburg College's Paul Recital Hall located in Schmucker Hall on the Gettysburg College campus. Amrhrein's program included an innovative, twentieth-century Sonata for Bassoon by Alvin Etler, followed by the "Presto" of French composer Francis Poulenc's Trio pour hautbois, bassoon et piano. A romantic chamber piece for bassoon and string quintet, by Sir Edward Elgar, will follow. To conclude the program, a bassoon quartet by Sergei Prokofiev will be performed and then Antonio Vivaldi's Concerto in e minor as the finale.

Elizabeth Amrhein graduated Dulaney High School in 2008, studying under Barry Chesky and Katherine McFadden, She also attended Ridgely Middle School, where she was taught by Sue Wilson, a Gettysburg College alum. Elizabeth is currently a student of Anna Claire Ayoub.
