NEW ROCHELLE, NY (11/22/2011)(readMedia)-- Elizabeth Johnston, from Plano, Texas, was voted to the All-Tournament Team at a recent Boston Invitational Basketball Tournament. Johnson, who plays forward for the New York College of  New Rochelle played in Division III tournament held in Chestnut Hill, MA., hosted by  Pine Manor College.

The College of New Rochelle finished third in the tournament. Losing to Pine Manor College in the opening game on Saturday, November 19, the Blue Angels rallied the next day to defeat Lesley University by the score of 52-36.

In this third-place game, the teams exchanged baskets for most of the first half, with the lead changing hands four times and score even four times as well. The game remaining tied at 22-22 before Elizabeth Johnston hit a pair of free-throws with 31 seconds remaining. Johnston finished with 11 points to earn her spot on the All-Tournament Team. She had previously scored 17 points in first round game to Pine Manor.
