NEW ROCHELLE, NY (05/16/2012)(readMedia)-- A new masters degree program in Marriage and Family Therapy designed specifically to meet the professional education requirements for licensure in New York State as a marriage and family therapist will be offered by The College of New Rochelle Graduate School starting this fall, 2012. Upon successful completion of the NYS license examination, graduates may find employment in mental health clinics, community agencies, and private practice.

This masters program has a flexible schedule offering students the opportunity to attend college year-round (during fall, spring, and summer sessions) thereby allowing degrees to be earned in less than two years.

The Graduate School Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy is a 45-credit program designed to prepare students to become professionals in providing therapy to couples and families of diverse backgrounds, ages, and needs.

According to the Dean of the Graduate School at CNR, Dr. Marie Ribarich, the new Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy provides students with a variety of courses and rich practicum experiences in which to develop their therapeutic skills and their professional expertise.
