ELIZABETHTOWN, PA (11/01/2011)(readMedia)-- John Dernbach the 2011 Elizabethtown College Peace Fellow shares his views on sustainable development, the environment and peace Nov. 9 and 10 at E-town.

Elizabethtown College Alumni Peace Fellowship hosts Dernbach, as he talks about sustainable development efforts in the United States and his recommendations for future action in his lecture "Sustainability and Peace" at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9 in the College's Gibble Auditorium.

At 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, Dernbach presents "Green Peace," ideas on environmental issues, at the Young Center for Anabaptist and Pietist Studies' Bucher Meetinghouse.

Dernbach is a Distinguished Professor of Law at Widener University Law School in Harrisburg and editor of the book "Agenda for a Sustainable America". He has worked in various roles with Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, most recently as policy director. He coauthored an expert testimony to the United States Supreme Court on behalf of 18 prominent scientists in the climate change case, Massachusetts vs. Environmental Protection Agency. In September 2008, he was named one of three distinguished law professors at Widener University. In addition, he is the author of legal writing texts.
