Elizabethtown College Performs American Family Christmas Concert Dec. 11

ELIZABETHTOWN, PA (11/16/2011)(readMedia)-- Multiple choirs, a quartet and jazz artists representing the Department of Fine and Performing Arts at Elizabethtown College will perform a traditional holiday music program, under the direction of Matthew Fritz, associate professor of music, at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, at Leffler Chapel and Performance Center. In addition to lively holiday music, the concert includes visits from special characters for the children and perhaps even a sighting of the big man himself...Santa!

The afternoon concert features the College-Community Chorus, Women's Choir, Camerata, Concert Choir, Arioso Flute Choir, the Sax Quartet and the Jazz Band. Works to be performed include movements from Missa O Rex Gloriae by Palestrina, selections from Britten's A Ceremony of Carols, traditional Christmas carols and other holiday favorites.
