ELIZABETHTOWN, PA (05/16/2014)(readMedia)-- Elizabethtown College's inaugural class of master's degree students graduates at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 17, from the School of Continuing and Professional Studies at the Edward R. Murphy Center. Twenty-three MBA grads don their hoods and accept their diplomas on the stage at Leffler Chapel and Performance Center. Along with them are 16 Bachelor of Arts graduates, two Bachelor of Professional Studies graduates, 121 Bachelor of Science graduates and 43 who have earned associate degrees.
Speaking to the graduates, faculty and staff members and the friends and family members of the graduates is Edward Martin president and CEO of Blue Clay Ventures, a company which brings to life market- and partner-based solutions to global challenges such as poverty, education, health and environment. Martin, who also serves as chief marketing officer of Look to the Stars, a celebrity charity organization, works with Richard Saul Wurman, founder of TED talks, on the new 555 Conference, an initiative that brings together five global experts, five predictions of future patterns and five cities across the world.
At Commencement, College President Carl J. Strikwerda will honor Martin with a Doctor of Business Administration, Honoris Causa.
