Emily Broomell Inducted into Sigma Xi at Washington College

CHESTERTOWN, MD (04/25/2012)(readMedia)-- Washington College is pleased to announce that Emily Broomell '12, daughter of Cheryl and Charles Jr. Broomell, East Petersburg, PA, was inducted into Sigma Xi. Sigma Xi is a scientific research society founded in 1886 to honor excellence in scientific investigation and encourage a sense of companionship and cooperation among researchers in all fields of science and engineering.
Broomell is majoring in Biology. She is active in Varsity Field Hockey, Tri-Beta biological honors society, Health Occupational Students of America, and Campus Christian Fellowship. She graduated from Lancaster Christian School.
Founded in 1782 under the patronage of George Washington, Washington College is a private, independent college of liberal arts and sciences located in colonial Chestertown on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
