Emporia State's David Allbritton named third team All-American

EMPORIA, KS (06/01/2011)(readMedia)-- Emporia State University baseball catcher David Allbritton, a senior from Shreveport, La., earned third team All-American honors from the American Baseball Coaches Association today. Allbritton earns the honor after being named first team All-Region by the NCBWA, ABCA and COSIDA.

Allbritton was also named first team All-MIAA and hit .344 with three home runs and 41 runs batted in. Defensively he had no passed balls and threw out 15 base runners.

The Hornets went 43-12 and advanced to their eighth straight NCAA Division II Regional.
