DECORAH, IA (05/14/2013)(readMedia)-- Eric Hild of Clear Lake, Iowa will have his work on display May 7-19 in the Kristen Wigley-Fleming Gallery in the Center for the Arts building on the Luther College campus.
A reception will be held for the artists just outside of the exhibit in the Center for the Arts at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 18. The reception is open to the public with no charge for admission.
Hild, the son of Steve and Deb Hild of La Porte City and Cresco, is majoring in art. He is a 2009 graduate of Clear Lake High School.
Hild's work includes a sculpture piece done with copper pipe and wire and titled, "We Do Nothing."
The annual exhibit is held to give the students graduating with an art major the opportunity to present a sample of their entire senior project one final time while in college. The exhibit features a variety of works including painting, sculpture, photography, collage, video and mixed-media installation pieces.
The student exhibitors include Maseeh Ahmed, Kurt Bearinger, Sophia Brown, Ingrid Cologne, Nellie Herold, Katelyn Kluge, Jason Knutson, Hannah Kosgard, Phoebe Jan-McMahon, Robby Scott, Emily Temte, Emily Voss and Rose Weselmann.
