Erin Cahill Named to the Academic Honor Roll at The Governor's Academy

BYFIELD, MA (03/24/2011)-- Erin Cahill, a senior at The Governor's Academy in Byfield, Massachusetts, has been named to the Academic Honor Roll for the first semester of the 2010-2011 academic year. Erin, who received High Honors, is the daughter of Brian and Diane Cahill of Andover, MA.

To be eligible for the Honor Roll, a student must achieve a semester grade point average of 3.0 or better, with no grade lower than a C+. To earn selection to the High Honor Roll, a student must achieve a semester grade point average of 3.3 or better with no grade lower than a B-.

Founded by bequest of Governor William Dummer, The Governor's Academy is America's oldest boarding school. The Academy has operated continuously since its founding in 1763 on the site of the ancestral Dummer home in Byfield. The school enrolls approximately 385 boys and girls in grades 9-12.
