Freed-Hardeman University inducted 28 students into its Tennessee Iota Chapter of Alpha Chi during its fall induction ceremony in Chapel Hall on campus, welcoming one of its largest groups in recent years.
With a 3.9 grade point average, the inductees represent "our very best and brightest," said Dr. John McLaughlin, who is the chapter's advisor. Membership requires a minimum GPA of 3.75 and placement in the top 10 percent of the junior and senior classes.
The induction recognizes students' academic achievements while opening opportunities to apply for scholarships, share research and participate in a national community of scholars.
