CANTON, MO (05/26/2011)(readMedia)-- Culver-Stockton College senior catcher Andre Terrell was a unanimous selection to the Heart of America Athletic Conference baseball first team, the league announced recently.
Terrell, a senior from Fairfield, Calif. (Armijo HS / Sacramento City College), batted a team-high .395 with 66 hits, including 17 doubles and four home runs, and 38 RBI in 50 games this season. He recorded a slugging percentage of .569 and an on-base percentage of .452. In the HAAC, Terrell ranked second in batting average, third in total hits, fifth in slugging, third in doubles and sixth in total bases.
The Wildcats ended the 2011 season with a 37-17 overall record and captured the HAAC's regular season championship with a 24-4 league mark. Culver-Stockton advanced to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) National Tournament, going 1-2 in tournament play.
