Fidelis Care Names Ruth McManus VP, Human Resources

AMHERST, NY (12/07/2011)(readMedia)-- Fidelis Care, the New York State Catholic Health Plan, is pleased to announce that Ruth McManus has been named Vice President of Human Resources. McManus will have state-wide responsibility for employee relations, education and staff development, and recruitment. She will be based out of Fidelis Care's new Western Regional Operations Center and Offices located in Getzville, Town of Amherst.

Before joining Fidelis Care, McManus headed Human Resources for Uni-Select, USA, Inc., an aftermarket auto parts distributor headquartered in Montreal, Canada. Prior to her position at Uni-Select, she served as the Assistant Director of Human Resources for the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority.

McManus earned a BSBA in Industrial Relations from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH. She is a past president and board member of the Employee Relations Association of Western New York, as well as a member of the Society of Human Resources Management and is a member of the Human Resources Committee of the Board of Directors for the Heritage Centers.

Born and in Columbus, OH, McManus has lived in Western New York most of her life and she, her husband, and two teenage sons, now call Lancaster, NY home.
