Fidelis Care Partners With Oswego County Catholic Charities, Primecare Medical, and the Salvation Army
Health Insurance Open Houses Offered for Oswego County's 12,000 Uninsured Residents
OSWEGO, NY (02/10/2012)(readMedia)-- Fidelis Care, the New York State Catholic Health Plan, is pleased to join with Oswego County Catholic Charities, Primecare Medical, and the Salvation Army to offer a series of Health Insurance Open Houses for uninsured residents of Oswego County during the month of February. Interested parties will be able to obtain information relating to Fidelis Care's insurance programs, and receive assistance in applying for coverage.
Oswego County is home to more than 1,600 uninsured children under the age of 19, and nearly 10,500 uninsured adults between the ages of 19 and 64. Fidelis Care is committed to reducing these numbers, and ensuring that all New Yorkers have access to affordable, quality health insurance coverage.
Those in need of health insurance are encouraged to visit with a Fidelis Care representative at any of the Open Houses listed below. Those unable to attend an Open House are encouraged to contact Fidelis Care at 1-888-343-3547 to schedule an individual consultation at a convenient time and location, including in the comfort and privacy of an applicant's home. Fidelis Care representatives are also available to assist existing members complete their annual recertification.
Oswego County Catholic Charities: Every Monday from 9:00am until 1:00pm, 365 West 1st Street, Fulton.
An additional Open House will be held at Oswego County Catholic Charities on Monday, February 13th from 3:00pm until 7:00pm. Fidelis Care's Fidelisaurus mascot will be on hand for the children, and a variety of children's activities will be offered as well.
Primecare Medical: Every Wednesday from noon until 5:00pm, 3045 East Avenue, Central Square.
Salvation Army: Every Thursday from 9:00am until 1:00pm, 73 West 2nd Street, Oswego.
Fidelis Care offers free or low-cost health insurance through New York State's Child Health Plus, Family Health Plus, and Medicaid Managed Care programs. Members are covered for regular checkups, preventive care, routine screenings, hospital and emergency care, eye exams, dental care, and more. In addition, Fidelis Care also offers a variety of benefit options for seniors through Fidelis Medicare Advantage, Dual Advantage, Medicaid Advantage Plus, and Fidelis Care at Home programs, available in certain counties.
To apply for enrollment in Child Health Plus, Family Health Plus, or Medicaid Managed Care through Fidelis Care, please bring proof of age, income, and address.
