AIKEN, SC (01/16/2018) Parents and students interested in Aiken Scholars Academy will have one more chance to have their questions answered during the final interest meeting this evening.
The Aiken Scholars Academy meeting will take place in the USC Aiken Student Activities Center (Mezzanine Area), tonight, Jan. 16, 6-7 p.m.
The first-of-its-kind high school experience begins on the University of South Carolina Aiken campus in the fall, and applications are being accepted until Friday, January 19.
"My goal, as the principal, is to ensure that we meet the academic and developmental needs of our students through a rigorous and intense curriculum in a nurturing and caring environment that supports student growth," said Martha Messick, principal of Aiken Scholars Academy.
Aiken Scholars Academy is a four-year high school program that will allow students to earn their high school diploma and two years of college credit in four years. Only 50 students will be accepted into the inaugural class of this competitive program.
