First Ever Beat Cop Community Bike Rodeo at Bleeker Stadium

ALBANY, NY (08/26/2011)(readMedia)-- Pastor Charlie Muller of Victory Church and Albany County District Attorney David Soares are proud to partner with the City of Albany Police Department Beat Patrol in highlighting a bike rodeo to combat street violence and promote bike safety in the City of Albany.

The Rodeo which will be hosted by 5 beat officers will help to educate children on bike safety. For those who participate in the safety course, there will be a chance to win over 200 helmets and 30 bikes as well as Great Escape tickets and other giveaways.

Children and Parents can also register their bikes in case of theft or loss. The "Bike Man" will be on hand repairing bikes for free. There will be free food and beverages for those in attendance. The event will be held in the parking lot of Bleeker Stadium & Swineburne Park this Saturday August 27, 2011 from 12:00 to 4:00. For additional information call Pastor Charlie at 857-0726
