ST. AUGUSTINE, FL (06/10/2013)(readMedia)-- For the first time in more than forty years, the historic campus of Flagler College-formerly the Hotel Ponce de Leon-will be available to host weddings and receptions.
With this new offering comes an opportunity to be married in a National Historic Landmark, surrounded by a glamorous setting that was once a playground for America's most privileged elite.
The College has identified three unique venues on campus to offer prospective brides and grooms with distinct choices in planning their wedding's style, tone and size:
• The exquisite Grand Ballroom in the former Hotel Ponce De Leon, the undisputed jewel of St. Augustine, the Nation's Oldest City.
• Historic Markland House, a spacious and refined estate home with all the charm of the Old South.
• The sophisticated and chic Crisp-Ellert Art Museum, nestled in the heart of the historic campus grounds.
Each venue offers multiple options for food, furnishings and entertainment. The College has partnered with the Casa Monica hotel, the Tasting Room restaurant and Flagler Catering Services to provide meal planning and catering.
This new offering will launch in spring 2014, and reservations are expected to fill quickly. Bookings will be offered for spring and summer events only.
