Flagler College's Davitt gains certificate for fundraising

ST. AUGUSTINE, FL (10/22/2013)(readMedia)-- Jeffrey Davitt, the development officer for the Office of Institutional Advancement at Flagler recently became a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE).

"It has been a long process to earn the CFRE and I am looking forward to applying the information earned towards my fundraising career with Flagler," Davitt said. "I am very grateful for the assistance of the AFP First Coast Chapter and Flagler for helping me prepare for this certification."

The CFRE is an international organization that supports and encourages fundraising professionals to aspire to the highest standards of professional competence and ethical practice in serving the philanthropic sector. Davitt's certification recognizes him as capable of working in the non-profit and fundraising field.

There are a total of 5,322 CFRE's in the world with 4,422 located in the United States.
