A group of Flagler College Graphic Design students were recognized for their creative marketing and advertising coursework by the Jacksonville chapter of the American Advertising Awards this week with 10 of them taking home awards for their submissions.
Commonly known as the ADDY Awards, this "is the advertising industry's largest and most representative competition, attracting over 40,000 entries every year in local chapters of the American Advertising Federation (AAF) competitions," according to the submission website. "The mission of the [ADDY award] competition is to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising."
This annual AAF competition has local, state, and national tiers. Flagler's student winners were recognized as "the very best," among the regional market. At the second tier, local ADDY winners compete against winners from other local clubs in one of 15 district competitions with a chance to advance to the national stage level.
