PAUL SMITHS, NY (04/14/2014)(readMedia)-- "Forest, Farm & Fork: An Opportunity Symposium" offers North Country business owners information on getting grants and loans for their businesses from the 2014 Farm Bill, as well as other private and New York State sources. Speakers, including U.S. Rep. Bill Owens, will discuss opportunities in forestry, agriculture, food production and tourism.
The event is sponsored by the Adirondack Center for Working Landscapes (ACWL), a collaborative initiative between Paul Smith's College and Cornell Cooperative Extension. The center will promote purposefully integrated, multifunctional landscapes, which are central to crafting durable communities capable of producing both healthy ecosystems and a vibrant economy in the Adirondacks-North Country.
